Police have arrested an activist of Swecchasebak Dal of Manikganj unit for posting a distorted photo of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and spreading anti-government propaganda.
The arrestee is Nahid Islam Nahid, 25, son of Ejjat Ali of Boalia area.
He was arrested from his house on Thursday night in the case filed under Digital Security Act (DSA).
Azharul Islam, sub-inspector (SI) of detective branch (DB) of police filed the case, said SP Mohammad Golam Azad Khan of Manikganj police station at a press briefing on Friday afternoon.
Murad Hossain, convener of Manikganj unit Swecchasebak Dal, confirmed that Nahidul is the activist of their party.
Nahid posted the distorted picture and anti-government status on his Facebook profile on October 30.
