A BNP leader has died after suffering heart attack while attending the party's divisional rally in Ranpur.
The deceased was Mostafizur Rahman, 45, joint convener of Kaharol upazila Jubo Dal.
According to eyewitnesses, Mostafizur suffered a heart attack at the venue on Saturday afternoon.
Later, he was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital in a critical condition, where the duty doctor declared him dead.
Former joint convener of Dinajpur district BNP Akhtaruzzaman Jewel confirmed the matter.
In the morning, Mustafizur Rahman joined the BNP general meeting in Rangpur from Kaharol along with other activists of the area.
