State University of Bangladesh’s Department of Food Engineering and Technology (FET) and Organic Nutrition Limited jointly organized a program recently celebrating the World Food Day 2022.
The program focused on rally, seminar, and quiz competition related to “Leave No One Behind” which was the theme of World Food Day – 2022.
The seminar was chaired by associate professor and head of the Food Engineering and Technology department Dr M Shafiur Rahman. He discussed on the topic by Mr Imrul Hasan, senior food safety specialist, USAID-Feed Future Bangladesh.
Prof Dr Nawzia Yasmin, pro-vice chancellor of State University of Bangladesh, and Dr Rudaba Khondker, country director, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) were the chief guest and special guest, respectively.
All the faculty members, students and officers of FET, State University of Bangladesh, and higher officials from Organic Nutrition Limited were presented in the seminar.
The keynote paper focused on the advanced technologies related to food packaging and food processing without losing macro and micro nutrient components. In addition, the panelists also focused on the proper distribution of safe and nutritious foods to all the peoples throughout the world.
