Winter vegetable prices have started to cool off with the early signs of the season in the northern district of Kurigram.

The prices of these vegetables, such as cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, and beans have come down in the last week, reports Bangla Tribune.

However, the prices of onions and green chilis are still high in the local markets.

Despite the skyrocketing prices at the beginning, most vegetable rates have started to come down within the last two weeks, as supply has increased.

In the district’s Zia Bazar, cauliflowers are being sold at Tk60 per kg, and cabbages at Tk40 per kg.

On the other hand, cilantro is being sold at Tk100, beans at Tk120 per kg, and tomatoes at Tk140-160 per kg.

However, the traders told Bangla Tribune that local carrots are yet to hit the market, but an Australian variety is being sold at Tk200 per kg.

On the other hand, LC onion is being sold at Tk40 per kg and the locally grown ones at Tk45 per kg. Traders said that the prices of LC and local onions were Tk35 Tk40 per kg respectively even on Thursday.
