Planning Minister MA Mannan has said the sufferings of people due to the price hike of essentials will ease from next month as the government is trying to bring prices of essentials down.
"People are in trouble now due to the soaring prices of daily essentials and the ongoing energy crisis. But this is the last month of distress. There will be no such problem next month. The prices of goods will come down," the minister said on Friday while speaking as chief guest at a Janmashtami event in Sunamganj.
He said that a quarter is trying to deceive the people by saying that Bangladesh will become Sri Lanka soon and is trying to capitalize on the situation by creating anarchy in the name of movement.

The prime minister is also saddened by the hardship of the people due to the rise in commodity prices and the recent hike in fuel oil prices.
The minister said that the crisis is temporary and the prices of daily essentials will be brought within people’s purchasing power.
The minister said there is nothing like a minority or majority and all people in the country are Bangalees and citizens of Bangladesh. They were united under the leadership of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and the people must now be united under the leadership of his daughter, prime minister Sheikh Hasina, to take the country forward.
