An Ansar member was stabbed to death by his colleague in Ghior upazila of Manikganj early Saturday.
The deceased is Quddus Mia, 40, of Hatkara area in Daulatpur upazila in Manikganj.
Police arrested Ansar member Md Shaheen, 26, over the murder.
Ghior police station OC Riaz Uddin told Dhaka Tribune the body had been found in a gunnysack before the upazila office of the Ansar and VDP.
The OC said Shaheen had been arrested at the same office and he had admitted to killing Quddus.
The two had been at loggerheads for some time over some issue, the police officer said.
The details of the reason behind the murder could not be known immedialtely, Shibalaya Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Nurjahan Laboni said, adding that the accused would face legal action.
District Ansar and VDP Commandant Iftekharul Islam said a committee would be formed to probe into the incident.
