There will be light to moderate rainfall across the country in 24 hours to Sunday morning, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at a few places in Dhaka, Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions, with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places across the country, the BMD said in its 9am weather bulletin on Saturday.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay, it added.
Rainfall activity is likely to increase after three days, it said.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged, according to the BMD
The highest temperature in the country on Friday was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi and the lowest on Saturday at 25.2 degrees Celsius in Teknaf.
