Despite the energy crisis in the country, millions of battery-powered auto rickshaws are running everywhere, causing more shortages of electricity.
The government shut down production at diesel-run power plants from Monday and announced one to two hour load shedding in different areas of the capital from Tuesday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday also urged all concerned to maintain austerity in power consumption.
