A Mymensingh court on Wednesday placed the driver of the truck, that killed three members of a family in a road accident, on a two-day remand.
Judge Md Tajul Islam of Mymensingh Chief Judicial Magistrate Court passed the order after police produced Raju Ahmed Shipon before the court seeking five-day remand in the case.

Md Moinuddin, officer-in-charge of Trishal police station, said: “Raju was brought to the court and a five-day remand application was made. After the hearing, the court granted a two-day remand.”
Earlier, a road accident left three members of a family dead on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway on Saturday.
While crossing the highway, a speeding Mymensingh-bound truck knocked them down, leaving all three family members dead on the spot, said police.
A baby girl was born before her mother died on the road. She was taken to Upazila Health Complex by locals, the OC added.
