The first return Hajj flight, with 419 pilgrims, of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, is scheduled to leave Jeddah for Chittagong International Shah Amanat International Airport on Wednesday.
Saroj Kanti Barua, Chittagong district manager of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines with 419 pilgrims will land at Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport on July 20.
"About 5,200 pilgrims will land at the Chittagong Airport on 11 dedicated flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines this year. The return Hajj flight will continue till July 28 next here," he added.
Besides, 10 pilgrims are coming to Chittagong from Dhaka on a regular flight on Friday.
Biman started its Hajj flight on June 5 for carrying the pilgrims from Dhaka to Jeddah after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the hajj activities on June 3.
This year, 57,585 pilgrims from Bangladesh have got the scope to perform Hajj.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines operated 87 Hajj flights among the 165 from Bangladesh. The national flag carrier airlines transported 30,363 pilgrims on those flights.
