Another 262 Bangladeshis evacuated to Saudi Arabia from Sudan have returned home.
Two hundred thirty-nine of them arrived in Bangladesh at 8:40am on Thursday from Madina and the other 23 at 12:15pm from Jeddah on two Biman flights.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has so far brought back 449 Bangladeshis, who were stuck in the crisis-hit African country, since May 8.
Since mid-April, clashes between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have resulted in hundreds of deaths, tens of thousands of injuries, disruption of aid deliveries and tens of thousands of refugees fleeing to neighbouring countries.
These clashes have also turned parts of Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, into war zones and derailed an internationally backed plan to usher in civilian rule after years of unrest and uprisings.
