BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will visit Evercare Hospital on Saturday afternoon for health check-ups.
"Madam (Khaleda) is scheduled to go to Evercare Hospital around 3pm for health check-ups as per the advice of her medical board,” said Sayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP's media cell.
Khaleda, 76, has been suffering from various ailments, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, and kidney, lung and eye problems.
She visited the same hospital for health check-ups on April 6.
She was last admitted to Evercare Hospital on November 13 last year where she was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis.
On February 1, she returned home after an 81-day stay at the hospital as she was suffering from internal bleeding caused by liver cirrhosis.
Khaleda was sent to the Old Dhaka Central Jail after a lower court sentenced her to five years imprisonment in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case on February 8, 2018. Later, she was found guilty in another corruption case the same year.
Amid the coronavirus outbreak, the government temporarily freed Khaleda Zia from jail through an executive order suspending her sentence on March 25, 2020, on the condition that she would stay at her Gulshan home and not leave the country.
