The government will start open market sale (OMS) of rice at Tk30 per kg starting September 1.
Under the programme, the rice will be available in 2,363 centres, according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Media Wing on Monday.
According to the statement, TCB cardholders will get rice for Tk10 per kg on a priority basis.
Moreover, over five million families at the union levels will receive 30kg of rice per month for Tk15 per kg.
