Bangladeshi dies in Kolkata hospital

Police found Mohammad Maizuddin, a resident of Dhaka's Ahmed Nagar, in unconscious state

A Bangladeshi man has been found dead in a guest house in India's Kolkata city. 

Police recovered the body from a guest house located on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road of South Kolkata on Thursday afternoon. 

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Maizuddin, a resident of Dhaka's Ahmed Nagar, reports Bangla Tribune.

According to police, Maizuddin checked into a room on the fourth floor of the guest house on Tuesday. He was in Kolkata for treatment. 

At around 1:15pm on Thursday, guest house authorities called the police when Maizuddin did not respond to their calls.

Members of Park Street police station reached the scene and found him unconscious on the bed. He was later taken to National Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead. 

The body was sent to the morgue for an autopsy, said police.
