The 51st death anniversary of Bangabandhu's close associate MA Aziz was observed in Chittagong on Tuesday.
City unit Awami League organized a discussion held at the residence of late MA Aziz, marking the day.
Earlier, they paid homage at the grave of late MA Aziz.
Noyom Uddin Chowdhury, vice president of the unit, presided over the discussion while acting president Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury addressed the memorial meeting as the chief guest.
Former city mayor and General Secretary of the unit AJM Nasir Uddin addressed the discussion as the main speaker while city Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury attended the function as special guest.
AL leaders Chowdhury Hasan Mahmud Hasni, Advocate Sheikh Iftekhar Simul Chowdhury, son of the late MA Aziz Saifuddin Khaled Bahar, Dr Nesar Ahmed Monju and Haji Belal Ahmed, among others, addressed the function.
