Notre Dame University Bangladesh welcomes spring freshers

Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) on Saturday welcomed its freshers for the spring 2022 semester on Saturday.
This colourful orientation program took place at the university's campus, according to a press release.
Buet Prof Dr Md Shohrab Hossain was the chief guest on the occasion.
He urged the students to take part in extracurricular activities to gain a broader perspective. “NDUB is providing ethics based education and I believe that the students will learn from it.”
Presiding over the program, the Vice Chancellor of NDUB, Father Dr Patrick D Gaffney, said: “The future of this nation is depending on you. NDUB has all kinds of facilities a university would have. You can enrich your caliber by using those facilities.”
Referring to students as a symbol of freedom, he said they were young people who could fight for freedom, just like the freedom fighters half a century ago.
Director of English Language Center Father Tom McDermott hosted the program, and other officials and faculty members attended the event.
Deputy Registrar Father Leonard Shankar Rozario and Director of Human Resources Father Pangkoj Nokrek also spoke at the program.
The program began with the national anthem and hoisting of the national flag.
