Biman reduces airfares on 4 Middle East routes

It will be effective from January 16

National carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines has decided to reduce the price of tickets on four routes in Middle East countries. 


The decision has been made so that migrant workers can travel at affordable prices, said a Biman notice issued on Tuesday.


According to the notice, the revised fares will be effective from January 16, subject to seat vacancies on Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, Dubai and Abu Dhabi routes. 


However, the lowest price for economy class tickets will remain unchanged.


The one-way fare for economy class on the Dhaka-Jeddah route ticket has been reduced from Tk72,455 to Tk64,820 including tax. 


On Dhaka-Riyadh and Dhaka-Dammam routes, the one-way maximum fare for the economy class has been reduced from Tk70,758 to Tk63,123 

including tax.


Besides, the one-way maximum fare for the economy class on Dhaka-Dubai route has been reduced from Tk75,508 to Tk72,084 including tax.
