Bangladesh has received another two million doses of the Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine from China.
A consignment of one million vaccines arrived around 11:30pm on Saturday while a second shipment of as many doses arrived around 3:30am on Sunday.
Officials of the health ministry received the consignments at the Dhaka airport, Shahriar Sazzad, an assistant director of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), told Dhaka Tribune.

The vaccines have been kept at the warehouse of Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Bangladesh has signed a deal to purchase 15 million doses of vaccine from Sinopharm, which is expected to be delivered within three months.
Earlier, China had sent 1.1 million Sinopharm doses as a gift followed by another shipment of two million doses in early July, also as a gift.
The latest consignment of two million doses is part of the deal Bangladesh inked with China to purchase vaccines.
