Md Hannan Mia, a Grade 1 government officer, took over as the new chairman of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) on Sunday.
A press release was issued in this regard on Monday.
Hannan Mia, who is from the 9th BCS batch, first joined the Cultural Affairs Ministry in 1991 as assistant secretary, according to the release.
Before joining BPC, he served as director general of the Department of Archeology.
Prior to that, he was director of Biam Foundation under the Public Administration Ministry from 2017 to 2019.
During his career, he has served in various administrations, including Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) and BCS (administration) Academy.
He has also been UNO of Shalla upazila in Sunamganj and Zakiganj upazila of Sylhet.
Hannan Mia obtained his MSS degree from the department of international relations of Dhaka University.
