Ruling Awami League will observe December 30 as "Victory Day of Democracy" commemorating two years of the 11th general election where the party secured a third successive term in office by a landslide victory.
The Dhaka South unit of the party will organize a rally at 3pm in front of the party's central office in Bangabandhu Avenue of the capital.
On the other hand, Dhaka City (North) Awami League will organize a discussion event at 11am at Krishibid Institution auditorium in Dhaka where party General Secretary Obaidul Quader and other senior leaders will attend.
Also, all members of thana and ward units of Awami league would wear a colorful look to mark the occasion, according to a press statement signed by AL Office Secretary Barrister Biplob Barua.
However, the programs will be organized maintaining health advisories, it adds.
