3 abducted Indians brought back with help from Bangladesh

Efforts of police from both countries helped bring them back safely

Three Indian citizens who were abducted by terrorists in Tripura, India have been brought back to the country through the collaborative efforts of police from both countries. It can be said that the friendship between India and Bangladesh has been strengthened by this effort.

Immediately after the abduction, Tripura police along with the armed forces have been conducting search operations to rescue them, and the search efforts by Bangladesh security forces expedited the process, reports Jagarantripura.com.

After 16 days of confinement, the three workers, who were abducted from Ganganagar police station area in Dholai district, were released by the terrorists on Friday.

They reached the BSF outpost at DP para area under Gondachora police station in Dholai district at 6:30pm on Friday.

On December 7, NPCC site supervisor Shubhash Bhoumik, JCB excavator driver Shubol Debnath and head of workers Gonopoti Tripura were building barbed wire fences at the Bangladesh-India border.

When they went to fetch water from a nearby area, according to onlookers, five terrorists of the banned terrorist outfit of NLFT (Utpal) abducted the three workers on gunpoint from between Malda Kumar Royajapara and Horiyamuni para areas of Ganganagar police station under Dholai district.

Their co-workers informed BSF members when the three did not return for a long time.

Police detained associates of terrorists Pathan Mohon Tripura, Jatindra Tripura, and Boijoy Tripura to get information, and arrested them after finding disparities in their statements.

Indian police informed that the continuous search operations by the Tripura police created pressure on the terrorists, and finally they let the three men go after 16 days in captivity.
