Shaheda Yesmin has been made president of the World Association of Master Chefs WAMC - Bangladesh Chapter.
“Shaheda as she is known to many isn't your typical chef. She has gone in a different direction for which she has greatly affected and contributed to the forward movement of Bangladeshi cuisine,” said a press release issued in this regard on Thursday.
“Shaheda has gained quality culinary training from numerous international schools. She has taken courses from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York as well as the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.
“She has spent decades traveling the world and learning different techniques and cuisines so she can deepen her understanding of food. And now her goal is to put to work all of her knowledge and use it to introduce real Bangladeshi cuisine to the world,” added the release.
