Fitra fixed at Tk65

This year's Fitra has been fixed at minimum Tk 65 and maximum Tk 1,980 per person. It is a charity done by solvent Muslims during the Ramadan, the month of fasting. The Islamic Foundation fixed this year's Fitra on Thursday, reports Bangla Tribune. The money equivalent to the market price of 1.65kg of wheat or flour, or 3.3 kg of raisin or cheese could be distributed among the poor as Fitra before the Eid-ul-Fitr congregation. It is Wazib for all the solvent Muslims to give Fitra, according to Islamic rituals.
