Rain likely to continue across Bangladesh

The maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am Monday was recorded in Mymensingh at 24 millimeters

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that rain will continue across the country over the next 24 hours commencing 9am Monday.

In a forecast, the Met Office said light to moderate rain and thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

It added that a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions and at one or two places over Barisal and Khulna divisions might also be hit by rain. 

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 35.6 ˚C at Mongla and Chuadanga and a minimum temperature of 24.3˚C was recorded at Teknaf on Monday.
