Another 113 police members working on the frontline have tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
Till now, a total of 854 police personnel have been infected with the Covid-19 virus, sources at police headquarters told Dhaka Tribune.
Five policemen have already died from the deadly virus.
Of the total, 449 are in Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), and 93 have been newly affected during that period of time.
The rest 20 are from the entire Bangladesh.
No new case of recovery has been confirmed in the last 24 hours, keeping the number to 57.
Meanwhile, 1,250 police personnel have been sent to quarantine, where 315 are now in isolation.
