Rain coupled with gusty wind, or thunderstorm or even hail storm may occur in parts of the country including Dhaka on Saturday, the Met office has forecast.
Sylhet and Mymensingh regions are likely to experience nor'wester, while Dhaka might see similar inclement weather in the afternoon or in the evening, it said.
According to a 24-hour forecast, rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind may happen in parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, and Chittagong divisions as well.
The situation may drag on throughout Sunday, it predicted.
In the past 24 hours until 6am on Saturday, the highest rainfall was recorded in Sylhet at 77mm.
Besides, 61mm rainfall was recorded in Srimangal, 56mm in Dimla, 24mm in Tentulia, 13mm in Rajarhat, 10mm in Syedpur, 7mm in Rangpur, 2mm in Rangamati, and only 1mm in Sitakunda. A little amount of rainfall was also reported in Gopalgan.
