Bangladesh has imposed a travel ban on all modes of transport – rail, road, air, and waterways – across the country to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.

The decision comes a day after the government declared a 10-day shutdown, effective from Thursday to April 4, to tackle the spread of the virus and to ensure social distancing and isolation
