Navy chief Nizamuddin to attend IMDEX 2017

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Nizamuddin Ahmed has left Dhaka on Saturday to attend the International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (IMDEX) 2017 in Singapore. Besides attending the IMDEX, the navy chief will also attend the International Maritime Review and Fifth International Maritime Security Conference (IMSC) in Singapore. He will also meet Admiral Sir Philip Jones, first sea lord of United Kingdom, Rear Admiral Frank Trojahn, chief of naval staff of Denmark, Rear Admiral Lai Chung Han, chief of the Republic of Singapore Navy and Vice Admiral Arie Jan De Waard, director of Defence Materiel Organisation of Netherlands. The navy chief is scheduled to be back on May 18. Meanwhile, Shadhinota, a ship of Bangladesh Navy, is already sailing in the water of Singapore for attending the International Maritime Defence Exhibition.
