A total of 3,639 people across the country had been affected by various cold-related diseases in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room data showed that 846 of the patients had been treated for acute respiratory infection (ARI), reports UNB.
Another 1,519 people had received treatment for diarrhoea and 1,274 for other diseases, including jaundice, eye inflammation, skin problems and fever.
Between November 1 and March 3, a total of 5,79,362 people had been affected by various cold-related diseases across Bangladesh, said the DGHS.
Sixty-one deaths were reported during this period, it said.
During the same period no new dengue case was reported, said the DGHS.
Three dengue patients are being treated at hospitals in Dhaka according to the DGHS’s daily update.
Since the start of 2020, 244 dengue cases have been reported, of which 241 had been discharged from hospitals, reports UNB.
Bangladesh experienced a huge dengue epidemic last year.
Dengue claimed the lives of 164 people in 2019. The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) confirmed the figure after reviewing reports of 263 out of 266 dengue-related deaths.
A total of 101,354 people had been hospitalized with dengue in the country last year. Of them, 101,037 had made full recovery.
