Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has said the Under 19 cricket team will get a mass reception at the historical Suhrawardy Udyan.
He made the statement after a cabinet meeting at the Secretariat on Monday.
Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said the decision of the mass reception was taken in the meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On Sunday, an ice-cold performance from captain Akbar Ali dragged the Bangladesh U-19 cricket team to a historic first U-19 World Cup, as they beat India U-19 in the final of the 2020 edition at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
