Suspected robber killed in Pabna 'gunfight'

The identify of the deceased could not be ascertained yet. Pabna RAB 12 Company Commander Additional Police Super Akramul Hossain said: “Acting on a tip-off, we conducted a drive at a garden in Chholimpur village where the robbers were preparing for robbery around 3am on Friday.” Sensing the presence of the elite force, the robbers opened fire targeting the RAB officials. In retaliation, the RAB officials fired back that left one of them dead while the others managed to flee the scene. RAB also recovered a firearm from the spot.
