A fire has broken out at a garment factory in Dhaka’s Mirpur area.
The fire broke out at Waltech BD Garments around 12:40am on Wednesday.
Polash Chandro Modok, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, told the Dhaka Tribune: “The fire broke out on the sixth floor of the 10-storey building.
“Nine firefighting units went to the spot and doused the blaze around 2:50am.”
He said they were yet to ascertain the reason behind the fire.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
