Bangladeshi Ambassador to Brazil and former foreign secretary Mohamed Mijarul Quayes' body will arrive in Dhaka on March 19.
Foreign Ministry Director General (External publicity) Lutfar Rahman confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune Wednesday afternoon.
He said: “A special plane carrying Mijarul's body will leave Brasilia on March 17.”
Mijarul died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Brazil on Saturday.

The former foreign secretary was made ambassador to Brazil in 2014 after his removal as the High Commissioner to UK.
He was previously Bangladesh’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia.
Quayes, a career diplomat, joined the civil service in 1982.
