“We have taken all possible steps to ensure the safety of power producers, suppliers, transmitters and distributors,” State Minister for Power Nasrul Hamid said on Thursday.
Hamid said the government is also planning to form a special force to ensure security at the power plants.
Earlier in the day, the minister held a meeting with representatives of the companies involved with electricity generation, supply, transmission and distribution at the Ministry of Energy, Power and Mineral Resources to review the security at the power plants.
