BNP has accused the ruling party of occupying the polling stations, kicking out BNP agents and casting false ballots.
“The ruling party is desperately trying to forcefully ensure victory in the polls to remain in power,” BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told the media on Monday.
Voting in Sylhet, Rajshahi, and Barisal city polls took place between 8am and 4pm.

The Election Commission will tell lies when the election concludes, Rizvi said. “The Election Commission is a parasite. It is an opponent of fair election,” he added.
Rizvi made the allegations at a media briefing at the party’s Naya Paltan headquarters on Monday.
