A Bangladeshi real estate businessman has been stabbed to death by his landlord at his residence in New York, US.
The deceased Jakir Khan, 44, son of late Azafat Khan, hailed from Sylhet. He was also a community leader in Bronx.
US Jubo Dal Vice-President Ahbab Chowdhury confirmed the death in a Facebook post on Thursday.
Fenchuganj Press Club General Secretary Riaz Uddin Iska said: “Jakir settled in the US with his entire family in 1990.”According to NBC New York, the landlord stabbed his tenant to death in front of the victim's 12-year-old son in the Bronx around 6:30pm Wednesday.
The man was pronounced dead when taken to Jacobi Medical Centre, the report added.
However, it did not give any details regarding the identity of the deceased.
