President Hamid to visit Tungipara Thursday

President Md Abdul Hamid will pay tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara, Gopalganj on Thursday. Abdul Hamid, who became president for the second time, will place a floral wreath on the altar of Bangabandhu Mausoleum Complex to pay respect to the Father of the Nation. Later, members of the armed forces will give a guard of honour. The president will also recite Sura Al-Fatiha and take part in a special prayer for Bangabandhu. This information was sent by fax to the Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office, in a letter signed by Protocol Officer of the president, Md Nasiruddin Sarwar. On Sunday, a preparatory meeting was held at Gopalganj DC Md Moklesur Rahman Sarker’s office ahead of the president’s visit. Among others, Superintendent of Police Md Saidur Rahman Khan and Zila Parishad Chairman Chowdhury Emdadul Haque were present in the meeting.
