Incarcerated Chhatra Dal leader dies

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal’s Tejgaon unit acting president Jakir Hossain Milon, who was being held at the Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj, has died. He was taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Monday morning after he had fallen sick but doctors pronounced him dead, DMCH police outpost in-charge Bachchu Mia said. Milon was also the vice-president of Chhatra Dal’s Dhaka metropolitan north unit. He was arrested on March 6 by Shahbagh police when he was returning from a human chain organized by BNP in front of the National Press Club. He was sent home on a three-day remand. A court sent him to prison on March 10 after his remand ended.
