Cabinet Secretary Shafiul Alam briefed journalists after the cabinet meeting on Monday afternoon.
According to the act, the job of an Ansar member will be regularised after six years of his service which was nine years in the previous law.
He also informed that the proposal for removing natural and artificially created forests to set up pipeline from Sreepur to Joydebpur under a Titas Gas project was also approved by the cabinet.
A total of 13,356 trees will be cut down for the project on condition that two trees have to be planted for one. Of the trees, 4,011 are sellable grown up trees and 9, 345 are plants.
A prior approval of the cabinet is mandatory for cutting down the trees.
The cabinet was informed State Minister for Health Zahid Maleque’s visit to Colombo. The junior minister visited Colombo to take part in the regional conference for South-East Asian region of World Health Organisation from September 5 to 9 last year.
