The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) jointly with Bangladesh Red Crescent (BDRCS) arranged a day-long interactive learning conference on Wednesday.
The conference, titled “One Step to Resilience,” was attended by high officials from the IFRC, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), as well as by 120 representatives from various countries.
BDRCS Chairman Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar spoke at the inauguration of the event, at the Biam Foundation conference room, as chief guest.
IFRC head of Bangladesh Azmat Ulla and KOICA counterpart Joe Hyun-Gue also spoke at the inauguration.
In his speech, Hafiz Ahmed Mazumdar said: “In order to serve humanity, the Red Crescent Society has been helping the poor and helpless population of many countries. Regardless of the kind of disaster, the Red Crescent is there to help.”
He also thanked KOICA for their help in these humanitarian activities.
