Former National University (NU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Aminul Islam has passed away at a hospital in Dhaka.
He breathed his last at Dhanmandi's Ibn Sina Hospital around 5:15pm on Wednesday, said a NU press release.
National University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Harun-or-Rashid expressed shock at his death.
Professor Aminul Islam served as the vice-chancellor of Bangladesh National University during 1996-2000.
