In a letter, sent to the editor of the Dhaka Tribune signed by Farhana Syead, public relations officer of NHRC, the chairman said the report published in Dhaka Tribune titled “Journo-turned-NHRC member berates journalists,” drew his attention and he felt sorry for the occurrence committed by Enamul Hoque Chowdhury, member of NHRC, and Joydev Chakraborty, assistant director of complaints, monitoring and mediation of NHRC.
The letter also reads that departmental punitive actions would be taken against accused Joydev Chakraborty who ordered to hand over a journalist to police.
