Human remains discovered in Gazipur forest

Update : 03 Jan 2017, 11:13 AM
The remains, believed to be of a male, were recovered on Monday afternoon. Akram Hossain, a local, claimed the bones and clothing belonged to his brother Abdur Rashid, 40, who had been missing since last year. Akram said they had filed a complaint with Kapasia police after his brother went missing. He also said he determined the bones was his brother's after examining the clothes and the torchlight found at the site. Kapasia police station OC Abu Bakkar Siddique said: “It is not possible to identify someone just by examining clothing. We have sent the bones for DNA test and expect the result soon.” Locals spotted the remains, a torchlight, a lungi and a T-shirt inside the forest in the morning and informed police, the OC added.
