MP Liton buried

Ruling party lawmaker from Gaibandha 1 constituency Manjurul Islam Liton has been buried. He was laid to rest at his family graveyard around 4:40pm Monday. Hhis body was taken to his village home around 3:50pm. Earlier in the day, the second namaz-e-janaza of Liton was held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad. After the janaza, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tributes to slain Manjurul Islam Liton by placing wreaths on his coffin that was draped with the national flag. Liton was shot at point blank range by some miscreants at his village home at Masterpara of Sundarbans Upazila on December 31 last year. He was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, where attending doctors declared him dead.
