Six more people were injured in the accident in Autapara area on Saturday morning, Naojor highway police outpost Sub-Inspector Imran told the Dhaka Tribune.
Five passengers of the four-wheeler and its driver were among the fatalities, police said but could not confirm their identities.
The injured – Nur Mohammad, 35, Babul, 35, Habibullah, 38, Nazrul Hossain, 18, Ashiqul Islam, 42, and Nazmul Haq, 40 – have been admitted to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College.
Imran said the vehicles collided in front of Bhawal Badre Alam Govt College around 6:45am.
