2 suspected robbers killed in Faridpur ‘gunfight’

Kotwali OC Nazim Uddin Ahmed told the Dhaka Tribune: “On information, a police team went to Bypass road area where the two gangs locked into a gunfight over establishing supremacy around 1am on Thursday. “We fired a few rounds of bullets to bring the situation under control. The robbers fled the scene sensing our presence.” Later, the law enforcers rescued two robbers who received bullet wounds in the gunfight. He said: “The duo was taken to Faridpur Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead.” A pistol, two bullets and eight improvised bombs were recovered from the spot, the OC said.
