Movement committee convener, Abul Hashem, made the disclosure after a five-hour-long meeting at Mymensingh Circuit House on Wednesday afternoon.
The meeting decided to remove local lawmaker Advocate Moslem Uddin Ahmed, head of the college’s managing committee and college Principal Nasir Uddin from their posts.
The minister read out the decision at the meeting.
On November 27, two people, including a college teacher, were killed, as police charged batons on them during a demonstration at Phulbaria upzila headquarters.
Teachers and students brought out a procession in the district town on that day, demanding nationalisation of the college.
The agitators blocked the Phulbaria-Mymensigh Highway to press home their demand. They locked into a clash with the law enforcers when police tried to disperse them.
Later, police charged batons and fired rubber bullets at the demonstrators, leaving at least 20 people injured.
Of the injured, Safar Ali, a pedestrian, died on the way to Churkhai Community Hospital while Abul Kalam Azad, an associate professor of Phulbaria Degree College, died at Phulbaria Upzila Health Complex.
Later, the local authorities imposed section 144 in Phulbaria municipality area to avert untoward situation. Two separate probe committees were formed in this connection.
One committee led by Additional District Magistrate Arif Ahmed has been asked to submit its report within seven working days.
Meanwhile, another probe committee led by Additional Police Super Nure Alam has been asked to submit its report within three working days.
Apart from this, two cases were filed in this connection with Phulbaria police station on Sunday night by Sub-Inspector Rafiqul Islam while Hazrat Ali, brother of Safar Ali, filed another case with the same police station.
