“I earn between Rs2,500 and Rs3,000 a day. I am happy with my income,” she said.

Former school teacher Urvashi Yadav from Gurgaon has been doing exactly that since June to “build a safer future” for her family, reports the Hindustan Times.
At first Urvashi, a graduate who speaks chaste English, faced resistance from her family who said the occupation was menial. She refused her father-in-law's offer to open a shop for her.
It was her husband's accident on May 31 that prompted the 34-year-old mother of two to change her occupation. Doctors advised hip replacement for him.
A day after the accident, she quit her job and 15 days later, she put up a roadside food stall. Urvashi said she feared a bleak future for her family.
“We may not be financially weak today but I cannot risk the future,” she said. “I realised that I will not save enough money by working as a teacher. Since I love cooking, I thought why not invest in it.”
