Indian President Ram Nath Kovind’s recent visit to Czech Republic was a memorable one. In an event held at the Charles University in Prague, students of the Indology department spoke in fluent Bengali and showcased their affection towards Bengali literature.
Zuzana Spicova spoke fluently in Bengali about Rabindra Nath Tagore and his contribution to Bengali literature. She also expressed her ever-growing interest in Bengali and Sanskrit language.

Two other students, Michael Havranek and Simona Czielova delivered their speeches in fluent Tamil and Sanskrit.
The program at Charles University included a performance of the song "Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas" by Kishore Kumar played by the India-Czech Sinfonietta Orchestra.
Students of Charles University surprised the crowd when they expressed their immense interest in Bengali literature, especially Sanskrit.
President Kovind arrived in Czech Republic with his wife on September 6. The official page of the president shared videos of the event on social media and expressed his gratitude towards the students of Czech Republic.
