US President Donald Trump and North Korea Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un shook hands to begin their historic summit on June 12.
The much-anticipated meeting required attention and preparation, like any political commentator will tell you, but Trump felt he did not need any extensive preparation to evaluate his new friend and where the relationship might be going.
Instead, he told reporters last weekend he would rely on "my touch, my feel" to assess the young and mercurial leader.
From what we’ve seen so far, he wasn’t kidding. The leaders shook hands and Trump took every opportunity to lightly lay his big, beautiful hands on Kim.
This is not this first time Trump has placed utter faith in his touch, back in May he mentioned his "big beautiful hands" during a speech in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was talking about building new infrastructure in the US when he said: “We will breathe new hope into our communities. And we will do it all with these big, beautiful hands - look at these hands.”
